Gabriela Staebler was born in south-Germany and is living there on Lake Ammersee not far from Munich.

She is one of the few international well known and well-respected female wildlife-photographers.

Gabriela, an international awardwinning professional, learned the know-how of wildlife photography as an autodidact. Since 1989 she is working freelance as a photographer and author for international magazin-, book-, and calender- publishers.
In addition Gabriela is presenting her work frequently at
exhibitions, slide-shows, lectures, photo-workshops, on radio and Tv and as a lecturer on cruise ships.

Gabriela´s  first coffee-table-book in english language: "THE SOUL OF THE SAVANNA - how wild animals feel" (Bucher Verlag) shows wildlife in africa from a new perspective with unusually intimate and emotional photos and gets international praise and acknowledgment.

Additionally Gabriela has published in German language her work as author and photographer in a non-fiction children-book-series, called "Children of the wild" (Gerstenberg Verlag) and a very popular coffee-tablebook "Back to Africa" (Edition Reuss), which has achieved 4th place at theGEO-bestlist.

Her love and passion is dedicated mostly to the wilderness of Africa, where she is travelling around again and again with jeep and tent.

She is not only interested in taking pictures, but also in studying wildlife behaviour. Her photographic style is very distinctive – her images awaken deep emotions and show the beauty and magic of nature.

Awards at international photo-competitions like "Wildlife Photographer of the Year", Natures Best International Photography, European Nature Photographer of the year, Agfa Wildlife and Environment Award and many others.
